Position Summary:
The University of Regina’s Women’s Mental Health Research Unit (Department of Psychology, Faculty of Arts) is seeking a postdoctoral fellow with aspirations to become an independent researcher in the area of women’s mental health. The fellow would work under the direction of Dr. Jennifer Gordon, a Tier II CIHR Canada Research Chair in the Biopsychosocial Determinants of Women’s Mental Health.

The successful candidate would contribute to ongoing NSERC and CIHR-funded projects investigating the psychological effects of reproductive hormones and the efficacy of psychological interventions for reproductive mood disorders. The fellow would also be given opportunities to produce first-author and co-author publications using existing data, present at national and international conferences, and collaborate on grant applications. If desired, the fellow would also be supported in developing their own project in the general area of women’s mental health.
Position Requirements
Position Requirements:
Requirements include a PhD in Clinical or Health Psychology, Biology, Nursing, Psychiatry, Social Work or related clinical discipline, a record of strong research productivity (e.g., publications, conference presentations), and excellent written communication skills in English. Strong skills in advanced statistical analysis (e.g., multilevel modelling, machine learning) are an asset but not required. A remote working arrangement may be negotiated.

Salary Range Approximately $55,000 Annually

The position is for one year, renewable for up to two additional years. The successful candidate is expected to apply for postdoctoral awards but will be guaranteed a minimum stipend of $55,000 CAD per annum if no other funding is secured. Funds are available annually for travel and training.
