Position Summary
The position will involve working at Johnson Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy, Regina Campus. This position involves providing support for a project funded by CIHR around cross-sectoral collaboration to improve outcomes for children/youth in vulnerable contexts using TRiP (The Regina intersectoral Partnership) as a case study. Here you will join a team that is conducting a formative process evaluation of TRiP activities. This position will include training and professional development opportunities as well as potential travel opportunities.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
The successful applicant will:
· Assist with conducting interviews and focus groups
· Analyse interview data using NVIVO 12
· Collect and analyse policy documents
· Write a comprehensive research report
· Assist with writing plain language briefing notes
· Write a policy brief
· Support with conference presentations
· Assist with organizing virtual policy roundtables
· Assist with conducting a scoping reivew
· Communicate with project stakeholders
· Prepare manuscripts for publication at peer-reviewed journals
Position Requirements
· PhD student in public/population health or a relevant social science discipline
· Strong skills in collecting and analyzing qualitative data
· Experience writing reports for public dissemination
· Experience writing and submitting manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals
· Experience and proficiency with qualitative software (NVivo), citation and bibliographic software (EndNote), Canva, as well as Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) are significant assets.
· Strong search skills in different electronic academic databases (PubMed, MEDLINE, Web of Science, EMBASE, EBSCO, Scopus) as well as grey literature sources
· Experience of conducting scoping reviews is a significant asset.
· Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
· Excellent organizational skills, time management and problem-solving skills with the ability to meet conflicting priorities and balance multiple projects
· Strong commitment to accuracy and attention to details
· Ability to communicate effectively with policy-makers and decision-makers
