Position Summary | The successful applicant will be part of a research team working on a project funded by the Stem Cell Network, titled: “Law, Public Policy, and Social License for Next-Generation Regenerative Medicine”. This position will be working on the arm of the project that is exploring professional regulation as a governance mechanism for clinical applications of regenerative medicine. The successful candidate will be involved with preparing research ethics applications, organizing and conducting interviews, supporting survey and interview data analyses and write-up for publication, project event planning (including knowledge translation activities such as public events and research presentations), conducting a comparative international legal and policy analysis, and helping prepare manuscripts for publication, among other assigned research tasks. This position will include training and professional development opportunities as well as potential travel opportunities. |
Position Requirements | The skills associated with this position would typically be obtained through the completion of a Master’s degree or PhD. Applicants should have a strong research background, ideally with strengths in qualitative research and knowledge of research design. Knowledge of how to conduct robust literature reviews is essential, as are strong research, writing, and oral communication skills. Knowledge of regenerative medicine and/or experience with legal research would be an asset, as would experience with policy, document, and content analysis. The successful candidate must be able to work effectively both collaboratively and independently and possess strong organizational and time management skills. |

Work Hours | This is a one-year, part-time position. There is some flexibility regarding the overall time commitment, hours of work, and location, with the potential for remote working arrangements. Specific arrangements will be determined in consultation with the Principal Investigator.
