Position Summary

Reporting to the Manager of the IS-PMO, the successful candidate will support departments with business needs assessment, business workflow, business requirements gathering, application identification, selection, and implementation of these new quality systems.

What You’ll Do:
  • Engage Stakeholders: Elicit, analyze, specify, and validate the business needs of project stakeholders, ensuring their requirements are understood and met.
  • Design and Implement: Plan, design, develop, and launch efficient business, financial, and administrative systems within established project management frameworks.
  • Optimize Processes: Analyze and design business process requirements critical to core institutional functions, enhancing IT-related systems for improved operations.
  • Ensure Quality: Coordinate in-depth testing, end-user reviews, and post-implementation support, ensuring seamless system modifications and launches.
  • Empower Users: Coordinate end-user training to ensure optimal system utilization across the university.

Position Requirements
Specific Accountabilities
  • Will work on one or many projects concurrently.
  • Provide project leadership on projects as deemed appropriate by their supervisor.
  • Will work within the approved business analysis and project management frameworks established within the IS-PMO.

Technical Requirements
  • A university degree in either of computer science, business administration, commerce, education, or another related discipline combined with 5 years of experience directly related to the duties outlined. An equivalent combination of training, education, and experience may be considered.
  • Possession of a project management certification such as PMP or PRINCE2 is desired. A Certified Business Analyst Professional certification is welcomed. If an individual does not possess a project management certification, the individual must clearly demonstrate that he/she has practiced project management during their career over a 5-year period. The individual must be willing to become certified in project management within one year of starting their employment.
