Position Summary

The Accreditation and Strategic Projects Manager serves as the staff lead for the Hill and Levene Schools of Business’ accreditation process with the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) professional association. Reporting to the Faculty Administrator (FA) and closely collaborating with the Dean of Business and Associate Deans, their primary responsibility is to ensure the Faculty progresses sufficiently on each of the nine AACSB standards and to accurately document the progress achieved.

What You’ll Do:
  • Oversee the Faculty’s progression on AACSB standards and maintain detailed documentation:
    • Manage the process of ensuring that the Faculty of Business Administration is progressing sufficiently on each of the nine AACSB standards and documenting how progress has been made.
    • Ensure the Faculty’ priorities are in alignment with Accreditation standards including developing a successful plan to align the Faculty with the accreditation standards in the allotted amount of time.
  • Oversee and manage the Faculty’s Assurance of Learning system:
    • Partner with the Associate Dean in charge of accreditation to determine when assessments of program learning objectives should occur and in what course offerings they should occur.
    • Oversee the process of obtaining assignments & exams from the required courses, according to the schedule, having them assessed, and documenting results.
  • Strategic data management and reporting for AACSB:
    • Lead on setting up and maintaining appropriate databases for needed data, interpret data and accreditation standards to determine alignment of the Faculty’s strategic goals and financial resources including a summary of engagement, innovation and impact examples.
    • Coordinate the Faculty’s processes for accurate collection of relevant data from proper data sources.
    • Collect, analyze, synthesize and organize accreditation-relevant data and draft reports for purposes of regular reporting to AACSB.
  • Lead the Strategic Planning and Annual Reporting process:
    • Contribute to strategic planning by identifying goals, objectives and policies as required by the Dean.
    • Lead data collection, analysis and reporting for tracking strategic plan progress.
    • Identify appropriate metrics and data collection methods; provide interpretation of results and improvement recommendations.
    • Conduct data-driven analytical reviews to communicate actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Manage additional strategic projects assigned by the Dean or Associate Deans of the Faculty:
    • Serve as lead on additional strategic projects as identified by the Dean or Associate Deans.
    • Identify appropriate metrics and the best method of collecting data; provide interpretation of the collected data and recommendations for metric or collection improvements.
    • Ensure appropriate metrics are in place to measure performance and progress towards strategic goals and identifies when progress towards strategic goals is ahead or behind schedule with recommendations to resume timely completion of strategic goals.

Position Requirements
What You’ll Bring to this Position:
  • University degree in Business required. Major in accounting, finance, data analytics, or project management preferred.
  • Possession of professional designation such as a CPA (Chartered Professional Accountant), a CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) or PMP (Project Management Professional) would be considered an asset.
  • 2+ years of progressive experience in some combination of strategic planning, analysis and report writing; project management; data collection and analysis; or financial budgeting and modelling.
  • Combination of education and experience may be considered.

  • Problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to handle complexity and ambiguity.

  • Excellent report writing abilities, with the capacity to distill complex information into clear and reliable reports.
  • Project management skills, including resource coordination and deliverable management.
  • Data collection, organization, and analysis skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Organizational skills, with the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
  • Interpersonal skills for effective collaboration and relationship-building across organizational levels.
  • Attention to detail while also considering the broader strategic picture.
  • Adaptability in managing multiple data sources and navigating through diverse information.
  • Thorough knowledge of the university environment and academic structure is preferred.
Physical Demands
Pay Grade APT 5
Salary Range $69,655 - $94,007 Annually
Status Term
Work Hours
8:15 am-4:30 pm, Mondays-Fridays.

Possibility of travel 3 – 5 times annually nationally and internationally to AACSB accreditation seminars.
