Position Summary | We are seeking to fill the position of Research Assistant/Personal Trainer in the Anxiety and Illness Behaviour Lab at the University of Regina (www.aibl.ca). The overall role of this position is to assist research participants in completing exercise which will comprise of resistance training. The participants will complete three 60-minute sessions of exercise per week. Each session will comprise of a warm-up period, exercise according to a standardized protocol, and a cool-down period with light stretching. The AIBL has established safety procedures to reduce the risk of COVID-19 infection and transmission. Personal trainers will be required to maintain social distancing of 2 meters from participants at all times. Personal trainers will be provided with masks and gloves for use throughout sessions. Participants and personal trainers will be educated on COVID-19 symptom monitoring and advised not to attend sessions if they have symptoms or may have been exposed to COVID-19. |
