Position Summary
The Humanities Research Institute (HRI) supports and promotes the broad range of humanities research activities that occur at the University of Regina and in its federated colleges. Working across the disciplines, the HRI advances humanities scholarship and research and develops innovation, interdisciplinarity, and collaboration. As part of our mandate, the HRI fosters new ways of thinking about ourselves and our world, and is designed to create a vibrant intellectual community among University of Regina students, faculty and staff, and the broader provincial, national, and international world that the HRI serves.https://www.humanitiesresearch.org/

The primary responsibility of this candidate will be knowledge synthesis and dissemination. Duties of the position will include: 

•           Knowledge synthesis/translation for the creation of informative and visually-appealing knowledge mobilization products (project identity guide, advertisements, posters, video documentation);
 
 
•           Project participation and support, including project data gathering and report writing;
 
 
•           Social media upkeep;
 
 
•           Support with grant/ethic applications;
 
 
•           Support with report writing;
 
 
•           Support project evaluation initiatives
 
 
•           Reviewing written work provided by Undergraduate colleague(s)
 
 
•           Weekly staff meetings (often in person) 
 

•          Other meetings as needed (often via Zoom) 

 
 
Position Requirements
•           Registered in full-time studies both at the time of application and for the duration of the position;
 
 
•           University of Regina Faculty of Education, Social Work, MAP, or Nursing students preferred;
 
 
•           Access to a computer and reliable internet service is a requirement;
 
 
•           Knowledge, experience, or willingness to learn about child trauma and well-being;
 
 
•           Flexibility, organization, and time management skills;
 
 
•           Good writing skills and attention to detail;
 
 
•           Ability to work independently and as a team;
 
 
•           Interpersonal skills, appropriate email etiquette, and the ability to communicate with stakeholders from local not-for-profits, to University personnel, to Government;
 
 
•           Confidence in taking project initiative;
 
 
•           Software skills are an assist (i.e., Canva, Microsoft, Google Drive, Spreadsheet software, Qualtrics, WordPress, social media platforms).
