Position Summary
Position Summary:
The purpose of this position is to assist with the following research tasks focusing on on-demand transit service assessment:
  • Research literature review on on-demand transit service implementations, qualitative and quantitative analysis;
  • Develop difference-in-difference models to analyze the impacts of on-demand transit services on ridership;
  • Case study research including data analysis, technical program summaries, and strategy design; and,
  • Technical report and manuscript editing and formatting, assistant in conference papers and technical reports.
Position Requirements
Position Requirements:
Applications are required to have engineering background with a preference for transportation engineering, economics and econometric, public policy, social science:
  • Interests in data processing and social-economic interpretations;
  • Solid skills in statistical software or programming languages such as Python, R, SPSS;
  • Work remote and complete tasks in a timely manner; and,
  • Experience in one or more of the following topics:
    • (1) course learning or project experience in difference-in-difference models.
    • (2) temporal-spatial data analysis
    • (3) land use and transportation systems
