Position Summary
The Faculty of Kinesiology and Health Studies at the University of Regina is seeking an enthusiastic, collaborative academic leader to fill a three (3) year term position (August 1st 2024 – April 30th 2028) in its growing Human Kinetics program with a focus on biomechanics. The successful applicant will teach 6 courses per year in our undergraduate/graduate programs as well as engage in research through the supervision of graduate and undergraduate honours students. We are seeking a scholar who can assist with the achievement of our Strategic Priorities: (a) Student Success, (b) Quality Programs, Academics & Research, and © Community Connections.
Position Requirements
Our future colleague will have earned a PhD in Human Kinetics, Kinesiology or related discipline, with a concentration in biomechanics and will have demonstrated a passion and ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses associated with the Human Kinetics major. Your training, background, and research in biomechanics will assist you in teaching courses primarily in biomechanics, clinical biomechanics, and ergonomics. The ability to teach in the areas of motor learning, human growth and development, and anatomy is considered an asset. In addition, you will have the ability to supervise research-focused students at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Professional certifications and applied experiences in the field would be a valuable asset.
